Data Deletion Instructions
Summary
Evida stores your data locally on your device (inside Chrome's extension storage). Deleting your data is instant and does not require contacting us. You have three options, each independent of the others.
Option 1 — Disconnect from Meta inside the extension
- Click the Evida icon in your Chrome toolbar.
- Open Settings (gear icon).
- Click Disconnect.
This clears your access token and all cached campaign edits from
chrome.storage.local. Evida loses Meta API access immediately.
Option 2 — Uninstall the extension
- Right-click the Evida icon in your Chrome toolbar.
- Select Remove from Chrome.
- Confirm.
Chrome automatically purges the extension's entire local storage on uninstall. Nothing remains on your device.
Option 3 — Revoke access from Meta Business Settings
- Visit Meta Business Settings → System Users.
- Find the Evida entry under "Connected Apps".
- Click Remove.
Meta immediately invalidates the access token Evida held. Any data still cached locally in your browser can then be cleared via Option 1 or Option 2 above.
What about server-side logs?
Evida's only server-side component is a Cloudflare Worker used for OAuth token exchange. It keeps only short-lived, hashed token prefixes (SHA-256) for up to 30 days, strictly for rate-limit and abuse prevention. These cannot be reversed to recover your token or your Meta data.
If you authorized Evida via "Login with Meta" and want us to confirm purge of any
residual logs ahead of the 30-day automatic expiry, email
[email protected] from the email tied to
your Meta account, with subject line Data deletion request. We respond
within 30 days per GDPR and CCPA.
Billing records (paid tiers only)
If you had a paid subscription, invoice records remain with our payment processor (Stripe) for the period required by tax law (typically 7 years). These contain billing information only — no ad account data, no campaign data, no Meta tokens.
