Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of terms
By installing, accessing, or using the Evida Chrome extension or the useevida.com website ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Service.
2. What Evida does
Evida is a Chrome extension that surfaces recent edit history from Meta Ads Manager (Facebook and Instagram advertising). It uses the Meta Graph API with read-only scopes you authorize, and displays the resulting change log inline in Ads Manager and in Slack. All data stays on your device unless you explicitly configure an outbound Slack webhook.
3. Your Meta access
To use Evida you must have legitimate access to a Meta ad account — either as the owner, as an employee of the owner, or as an authorized agency representative. You are responsible for complying with your own agency / client / employer policies when installing Evida.
Evida only requests ads_read and business_management
scopes — read-only. It never writes back to your ad accounts.
4. Account, billing, and cancellation
Free tier. 1 ad account, 7 days of history, no credit card required. Free plans are intentionally limited: popup feed only, no inline badges in Ads Manager, no Slack or Chrome alerts, no performance correlation. This is designed so the paid tiers have a clear upgrade path.
Paid tiers (Solo, Studio, Agency, Network) are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe. Stripe handles the payment, stores your card, and is PCI-DSS compliant — Evida never sees or stores card numbers. Invoices are emailed via Stripe on each billing cycle. You can update your payment method, download invoices, and cancel at any time from the self-serve Billing Portal (Settings → Billing → Manage billing).
Cancellation. Monthly plans cancel at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to paid features until that date, then downgrade to Free. Annual plans: you may cancel at any time; we refund the unused months on a prorated basis, less the 2-month discount that the annual plan carries versus monthly pricing. No refunds are issued for partial months.
30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with any paid tier within the first 30 days of your initial subscription, email [email protected] and we will issue a full refund, no questions asked. This applies once per customer and covers only the first paid month — it does not re-trigger on renewals, tier upgrades, or seat additions.
Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds, etc.) Stripe automatically retries over 7 days and emails you each time. During that window the subscription remains active. If all retries fail, the account downgrades to Free and any paid-tier features stop working until you update your payment method in the Billing Portal.
Plan changes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated against the current billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period; until then you keep all features of the higher tier.
Data on cancellation. When you cancel, your change history and settings are retained for 30 days in case you reactivate, then permanently deleted. You can request immediate deletion at any time via the Data Deletion page.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Evida to access ad accounts you are not authorized to access.
- Reverse-engineer, redistribute, or resell the extension source code.
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, abuse Meta's API, or circumvent billing.
- Use Evida to facilitate fraud, harassment, or violation of Meta's own terms.
6. Service availability
Evida is provided "as is." We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability of the useevida.com website, the Cloudflare Worker backend (used only for OAuth token exchange), or the Meta Graph API itself. We target 99.5% uptime on paid tiers and publish incidents on our status page.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Evida's total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim. Evida is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost ad spend, lost revenue, or lost profits.
You are solely responsible for decisions you make based on information surfaced by Evida. Change logs are informational; Evida does not replace manager approval, audit, or compliance workflows.
8. Meta platform terms
Evida uses the Meta Graph API. Your use of Evida is also subject to Meta's Platform Terms and your own agreements with Meta. Evida is not affiliated with or endorsed by Meta Platforms, Inc.
9. Changes to these terms
If these terms materially change, the new version is posted here and the "Last updated" date is revised. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the Evida operating entity is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
